We thanked our friends in Leipzig for their generous hospitality and took the train to Berlin airport to catch our flight to our next destination: Milan!
We stayed along the Naviglio Grande canal – a boisterous and fun spot in this big city. So many restaurants and bars, cafés and sights.
Again, we wandered through the old town just looking and admiring the beautiful buildings and people. We saw the Milan Castle (Castello Sforzesco) and the Cathedral (Duomo di Milano).
The best meals we had (we went back it was so good!) was at a little osteria near the Milano Porta Garibaldi train station. The service was divine, the food was unbelievable. Do yourself a favour and head there as soon as you can: Osteria dei Vecchi Sapori. I recommend everything, but especially the Strachiatella di bufala di Corato con tartufo nero.
We ate pizza (everywhere is good!), we ate pasta, we drank wine. Everything was good and flavourful and fashionable! The Museo del Novocento is also quite good if you’re interested in 20th century Italian art and an amazing view of the plaza of the Duomo and Galleria.
